Dogs + Care & Wellness

  • The Black Russian Terrier is a courageous and confident dog who tends to be aloof with strangers but utterly devoted to his people. To reach his full potential, he needs consistent guidance and direction from his equally confident owner.

  • When the digestive tract is upset, vomiting and diarrhea may result. Since the causes of these symptoms are varied, it’s best to consult a veterinarian. Often, a bland diet is recommended to rest the digestive tract and to decrease vomiting and diarrhea. Bland diets consist of a single easily digestible protein source and a simple carbohydrate. Pet owners may prepare bland diets at home or choose one of the many commercially available diets.

  • Bloodhounds are gentle and loving, especially with their people, even if they are not exactly paragons of grace and deportment.

  • Loveable, goofy and devoted, Bluetick Coonhounds are always game for a walk, chase or romp.

  • Many owners say that they will never leave their dog in boarding kennels. However, situations may occur in which you are unable to take your dog with you, and boarding kennels may be your best alternative.

  • Weight-conscious people are familiar with BMI (Body Mass Index) as a yardstick to identify ideal weight. There is a way to measure the body condition of our furry friends, too. The pet version of BMI is called BCS (Body Condition Score) which is a quantitative yet subjective method for evaluating body fat.

  • Boerboels are strong and fearless with guardian instincts, but they're also very playful and affectionate toward their owners.

  • While all breeds need exercise and mental stimulation, the highly intelligent, energetic Border Collie needs them more than most. He will never be satisfied with life as a couch potato.

  • Proudly scruffy and plain-Jane brown, the Border Terrier looks like a mutt, and he would not have it any other way. A working terrier with a hard, wiry coat and bristly muzzle, the Border Terrier does not have time for lots of showing off or aggressive terrier posturing. He is calm, cool, collected, and ready to go for a walk, chase the rabbits out of the garden, or just sit contentedly beside you.

  • Despite their beautiful presence, in their natural habitat, formerly Russia, Borzois were among the most skilled hunting dogs, masterful at tracking, sighting, and running down wolves. It is this legacy that makes them most suitable for country living.
